Abstract
This article aims to describe, through the theoretical perspective is that of why women appears to be in difficulty to occupy high-level management positions in business corporation. The glass ceiling may exist at a different level in different companies or industries, but just short of the general manager job often marks the glass ceiling for women in large companies. Even in the more progressive companies, it is rare to find women at the general management level. The glass ceilling states that not only is it more difficult for women than for man to be promoted up levels of authority hierarchies within workplace but also obstacles women face relative to men become greater as they move up the hierarchy.The fact that any women make it into general management may be a minor miracle. Only a small number of women have broken the glass ceiling to enter general management.
